Virginia "Ginger" Earlene Wisley Tate McCuistion, 78, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on August 8, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born December 29, 1945, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to James Herrel Wisley, Sr. and Elizabeth Beverly Haskell Wisley. Ginger married the love of her life, Steve Tate, in January 1965. Their love for one another was one that love stories are based on. They got to have two children, Chris and Cheri, and celebrate their 15th anniversary before he passed away. She then attended cosmetology school and opened her own shop, The Hair Station. She truly loved her job and the people who were more than clients; they were her friends. Making people feel special was easy for Ginger, serving others was her ministry. She gave all of herself, never once expecting anything in return. She never had a cross word to say about anyone. She always showed God's love to everyone. Ginger found love again with Ted McCuistion, and they were married in May 1986. They lived a happy life together until his passing in 2006. Their love for their grandchildren was unmatched. Being Nana to them all was her favorite job; it brought her so much joy. She loved them so much and would do everything in her power to make sure they had all that they needed and a whole lot of what they wanted, too. Her favorite phrase was "I'm so blessed," and that is truly how she felt, and she shared all of her blessings with anyone who was in need. To know Ginger was to love her. She had a love, warmth, kindness, generosity and selflessness that can only come from God. No one ever had to question whether she loved them. It was evident in everything she said and did. Ginger looked forward to going home to be with Jesus. She believed that Jesus Christ was God's one and only Son and that believing that believing in him as your Lord and Savior is the only way to get to heaven, so if you haven't put your trust in Him, please do so before it's too late. She was preceded in death by both parents; two husbands, Steve Tate and Ted McCuistion; her sister, Evelyn "Mickey" Lamont; her step daughter, Traci McCuistion.
She is survived by her children; Christopher "Chris" and wife, Kathlyn Tate of Springdale, Arkansas and Cherilyn "Cheri" and husband, Bill Kellar of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Bekah and husband, Raymond Torix of Trumann, Arkansas, Morgan and husband, Nick Pippin of Chicago, Illinois, Rylee and husband, Nathan Miller of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Stephen and wife, Merritt Tate of Springdale, Arkansas and Fletcher and wife, Kailey Kelly of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her great grandchildren; Scott, Bear, Robin and Indigo Torix of Trumann, Arkansas, Todd and Eden Miller of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Sloane Kelly of Bella Vista, Arkansas; brothers, Jim and wife, Michele Wisley of Rogers, Arkansas, George and wife, Linda Wisley of Centerton, Arkansas; sister, Judy DeBoard of Springdale, Arkansas; step children, Taylor and wife, Janet McCuistion of Pryor, Oklahoma, Kelly and wife, Betty McCuistion of Axtell, Texas, and Barry and wife, Janet McCuistion of Denison, Texas; step grandchildren, Justin and wife, Candice McCuistion, Ryan and wife, Micah McCuistion, Craig and wife, Lindsey McCuistion and Kelsey and husband, Alex Bryant, all of Pryor, Oklahoma, Keri McCuistion of Waco, Texas, Keith and wife, Lil McCuistion of Robinson, Texas, Traci and husband, Weston Jarvis of Wolfe City, Texas, and Caleb McCuistion of Denison, Texas; step great grandchildren, Cooper, Brynlee, Mason, Jax, Nash, Elizabeth and Camden McCuistion, Madison and Audrey Bryant, all of Pryor, Oklahoma, Brea and Kloee McCuistion of Waco, Texas, Garvin and Ashley McCuistion of Robinson, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends who became family.
