      Our dear sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left this Earth to rejoin her beloved husband Wally on Saturday, June 2, 2001 at the age of 93.
      She was born July 31, 1907 to Irvine Homer and Albertina (Bertha) Van Leeuwen McQuiston in an area of Salt Lake City known as Buena Vista. She was the oldest of ten Children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Wallace Sargent Trowbridge on November 27, 1937 in Morgan, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on February 14, 1939. He preceded her in death on Tuesday, January 25, 1983.

      In the summer of 1936 she traveled to Europe on the Queen Mary with Gertrude Day, her aunt. She enjoyed Literature. She worked at the Remington Arms Plant and the Tooele Ordinance Depot. Mother loved her family very much and was always happiest when she was with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

      A special "thank you" goes out to her cousin Trudy and Ray Edvalson for their love and kindness to Mother; and a "thank you" goes to Wilford and Marjean Crowther for their kindness.

      She is survived by her daughter Margaret T. (Peggy) Babbel, her son James A. Trowbridge, three grandchildren, Jenny M. (Brian) Giles, Lara L. Babbel, George J. Babbel and by five great-grandchildren, Megan, Devin, Tayla, Karlee and Tanner and by her brother Harry (Ruby) McQuiston. Preceded in death by her husband Wallace, five Sisters: Janey (in infancy), Gertrude, Bertha, Eva and Cora and by three brothers Irvine, Danny and Joseph.

      Her viewing was held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple Street in Salt Lake City from 7. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 where family and friends visited. Graveside services were held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 No. "N" Street in Salt Lake City, UT on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. with a viewing prior from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary.
