BIG SANDY — Diane (McQuiston) Jolly, 67, of Big Sandy, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, after an unexpected, short battle with lung cancer.
Born on May 28, 1957, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Jim and Dorothy (Campbell) McQuiston, Diane had an adventurous spirit. As she often said, she “got to Texas as fast as she could” at the age of 20, making it her cherished home. She spent nearly 40 years in Houston before embracing a more serene life in East Texas.
Diane was a devoted fan of the Houston Texans, never missing a home game, even after moving four hours away. She found immense joy in international travel, cherished time spent with her friends and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and beloved dogs.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole Escoto, and her husband John; four grandchildren, Dakota Turner of Temple, Logan Turner of Liberty Hill, Montana Harris of Gatesville, and Zoey Turner of Big Sandy; and four great-grandchildren, Tre Pitts, Kingston Pitts, Adalynn Harris, and Adonis Turner. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Kenny McQuiston; and her sister, Gail Gerhart.
Memorial donations in Diane’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society to support lung cancer research.
