Virginia "Ginny" Kathleen McQuiston, 93, of Franklin Township went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 29th, 2023 following an extended illness. Virginia was born February 4th, 1930 to the late Willard and Delores Crowl. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Clare McQuiston on July 10th, 1980, and three daughters: Sandra, who died shortly after birth on December 11th, 1948, Kathleen McQuiston on July 18th, 1997 Judy Benedict on July 26th, 2002. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Billy Crowl and two sisters Melva Nagel and Lorena Singloub.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Donald) Costa of Ellwood City, son-in-law Charles Benedict of New Brighton; three grandsons and eight great-grandchildren: Patrick Costa of Ellwood City and his children Cameron, Taylor and Wyatt, David Costa of Pittsburgh and his children Brianna, Jackson and Rocco and Edward Benedict of Northumberland and his children Nathan and Chloe, two sisters: Shirley and Charles Cox, Linda and Charles Newton both of Beaver Falls and two brothers: Dennis and Kathy Crowl of Enon Valley and David and Darla Crowl of Princeton and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia had a vibrant personality, many friends and enjoyed working outdoors on her farm whether gardening, tending the fields, cutting firewood or repairing equipment. She was a devoted and generous sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Above all, her love for Christ and sharing that love with anyone who would listen was her true passion in life. She also spent countless hours reading and studying the Bible.
Per her request there will be no funeral service. A family gathering will be held in the spring to remember her and her family members who have also passed on. She will be laid to rest at the Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls alongside her husband and daughter Kathleen. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
