Helen St. John, 91, of Wayne Twp passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at The Grove at Harmony. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha (Brown) McQuiston and was born December 27, 1929, in Ellwood City.
She is survived by her daughters; Gayle Fabritius and her husband Michael of Beaver Falls, Janet Wiley and her husband Robert of Ellwood City, grandchildren; Eric Fabritius and his wife Julie of Zelienople, son; Jared Fabritius and his wife Lindsey of New Castle, Robert Wiley and his wife Randa Alameh of Pittsburgh, Brock Wiley and his wife Lauren of North Carolina, great-grandchildren; Madison, Allison, River, Reagan, Paige and one sister-in-law; Allene Blayney and a brother-in-law; Les Blayney.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert D. St. John, one son, that she lost in infancy; Robert D. St. John, II, her siblings; Norman McQuiston, Raymond McQuiston, and Ruth Lawrence
She attended Wayne School and she married the love of her life, Robert D. St. John, on December 30,1950, and they were married 64 years. They were long time members of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder in the church. She also was a member of Martha’s Circle and she was also a girl scout leader and active in 4-H. She loved crocheting and made many things for her home including doilies, afghans, and scrubbies. She loved to cook and bake and anyone who would visit her would always go home with something sweet. Helen was of Christian Faith and loved the Lord and she raised her children in church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and she was a friend to all who loved her and knew her. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, funeral services were private.
Interment will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
The family requests Memorial Donations be made, in Helen’s name, to Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
