Karen believes James was born before 1804, as "couples didn't wait 5 years before having children." She uses this and the following as evidence.
The record of Hopewell Church, states, that "James of McCuisten of Andrew" was admitted July 27, 1816, on examination. I would think that he would be 18 or older to be admitted???
There was no mention of James or Catherine inthe letter to Thomas in Texas in 1834 abou the father, Andrew's death.
He is also not mentioned in the family moving to Roane County in 27 of Mar 1827 and taking their membership out of the Church of New Market in Jefferson County, Tennessee.
