Wilma L. McQuiston, Mercer formerly of Deer Creek Twp. passed away Wednesday Evening, October 2, 2019 at the Sharon Regional Medical Center. She was 90.
Wilma was born in Meadville on March 31, 1929 a daughter of the late Lee S. and Reba G. (McArthur) Johnson. She had been married to Howard L. Andrews in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1962. She subsequently married Robert J. McQuiston on June 18, 1966 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1993. Wilma was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mercer and had previously been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sheakleyville Community Vol. Fire Department.
She is survived by a daughter Renea Smith and her husband Sam of Mercer; a sister, Shirley Weidner and her husband Stan of Conneaut Lake; a step daughter, Carol Jane Gilliand and her husband Ed of Meadville and a stepson, Tom McQuiston and his wife Irene of Florida; Two grandsons, Joel Smith and Jarrett Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a brother, Robert L. Johnson and two step sons, Fred McQuiston and Glenn McQuiston.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheaklevyille with Rev. Dr. Peter Dembrowski, pastor of the Bethany Presbyterian Church officiating. Wilma will be laid to rest at the Rundell Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday from Noon until 1:30 pm at the funeral home and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
