      Richard Micheal McQuiston
      Maxwell Iowa & Florence Arizona - Richard Micheal McQuiston, age 64 passed away of respiratory failure, on February 26, 2018 an Mountain Vista Medical Center, Mesa Arizona.
      He was born on September 3, 1953 in Iowa. He is survived by Lori, his wife of 35 years, their son, Patrick Cody (Dana), grandchildren Mara and Colin, daughter Emily (Luke) Ostrander, granddaughter Rylee. Surviving siblings include: Marylou (Mark) Swanson, Randy McQuiston, Phyllis (James) Backoff.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Annette (Taffarella) McQuiston and sisters Kathy Fricke and Vicky Miller.
      Rick graduated from Collins High School in 1971. He owned Rick's Family of Hair in Collins for 26 years, retiring in 2012. He played music in a variety of bands and as a solo guitarist for more years than we can count. Rick loved to golf and garden, be with friends and had a flair for drama. Above all he loved his family. He was a character, with never a dull moment and never without a joke.
      Grand Celebrations of Life will be held in Arizona at a later date and in Iowa later this spring. He will be interred in Collins, Iowa near his parents and sister.
