CREVE COEUR - W. Junior McQuiston, 51, of 260 Ehrett St. passed away at 12:02 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born May 24, 1958, in Peoria to Walter J. and Ethel (Kirby) McQuiston.
Surviving are his fiancee, Rhonda Hartman of Creve Coeur; two stepdaughters, Jen Hartman and Melissa Wubben, both of Creve Coeur; two stepsons, Joe Hartman and Dustin Wubben, both of Creve Coeur; three grandsons, Talan, Josh and Dylan; five sisters, Linda (Robert) Hastings of Davenport, Fla., June Hicks and Bertha (Roger) Alexander, both of Creve Coeur, Barb (Rod) Bowers of Washington and Sissy (Larry) Inman of Bath Springs, Tenn.; three brothers, Sam McQuiston of Bath Springs, Wayne (Patti) McQuiston of Deltona, Fla., and Mike (Kimber) McQuiston of Washington; 17 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend, Edward H. Hartman Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Lesa Hicks.
Junior worked as an attendant at Thorntons in Creve Coeur.
He was a member of the William Schaefer American Legion Post 44 in Pekin and the Martin-Courtney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4835 in Creve Coeur.
He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. There will be no funeral service. Private burial will be inLakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
