- CREVE COEUR ~ June Ann Hicks, 72, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 7:51 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her home.
Born June 11, 1950 in Peoria to Walter and Ethel (Kirby) McQuiston, she married Ronald Hicks. He died in 2021.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Hicks and Tamera Hicks and one brother, Walter Junior McQuiston.
Surviving are one son, Ronald (Chikako) Hicks of Maryland; six grandchildren Zachary Riggs of South Pekin, Mark Hicks of Maryland, Allen Hicks of Maryland, Angel Murphy of Creve Coeur, Cierra Murphy of Bloomington and Mina Hicks of Maryland; six great grandchildren, Aria Hauck, Emma Hauck, Aurora Barnes, Mariabella Miller, Lukas Miller and Rowan Hicks and seven siblings, Linda (Bob) Hastings of Deltona, Florida, Bertha Alexander of Creve Coeur, Barbara (Rodney) Bowers of Washington, Patricia Inman of Bath Springs, Tennessee, Sammy McQuiston of Peoria, Michael (Kim) McQuiston of Washington and Wayne McQuiston of Deltona, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
June worked as an accountant at Walmart for over 20 years.
A kind soul, she would help anyone who needed it. June loved spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to music.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. A private inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
A celebration of Junes life will be from 12- 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2023 at the Creve Coeur Community Center.
