Wilma W. McCoy, 76, of Springdale, Arkansas, died February 8, 2001 at Holland Nursing Center-North in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born May 9, 1924 at Wesley, Arkansas, the daughter of Otto and Ophelia Smith McCarver. She was a waitress and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by one son, Ray Edward McCoy, two brothers, Wyman McCarver and Truman McCarver and by two sisters, Edna Faulkner and Cuba Ralston.
Survivors include: her husband, Otto C. McCoy, of Huntsville, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Orin C. and Deborah McCoy of Huntsville, Arkansas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Felia and Walt Drake of Wichita, Kansas and Linda Steerman of Huntsville, Arkansas; two sisters, Erma Harrison of Omak, Washington and Imogene Richardson of Springdale, Arkansas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2001, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Bennett officiating. Interment was in the Drakes Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were: Stanley McCarver, Mark McCarver, Shad Doss, Dwight McCoy, Leonard McCoy and Glyndon Moppin.
