FAYETTEVILLE -- A 75-year-old Farmington woman was killed Wednesday in a rear-end collision on U.S. 62, near Prairie Grove, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Josephine McChristian died at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale as a result of her injuries, according to the report.
Another driver involved in the accident, Betty R. Bolin, 73, of Stilwell, Okla., was treated at the Springdale hospital, the report said.
McChristian, driving a Chevrolet vehicle, was eastbound on U.S. 62 and as she stopped to turn left onto Little Elm Road, a Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Bolin, was following her and failed to stop, the report said.
McChristian's vehicle was pushed into oncoming traffic and struck a Dodge pickup driven by Jim Villians, 34, of Lincoln.
Both McChristian's and Villians' vehicles landed in the ditch, according to the police report. McChristian's vehicle was hit on the passenger side.
