Notes - Robert and William were men of high character and religious disposition. They controlled the property inherited from their mother's brother, Matthew Black. Their country home was "Adelaide Lodge" near Randalstown in County Antrim, where William and Robert lived as country gentlemen.
Robert used maost of the fortune in religious work, his will states that he was carrying out the wishes of his brother's will. Very small bequests were left to members of the family.
