    • Obituary for Theodore Raymond Yulich Jr.

      Theodore “Ted” Raymond Yulich Jr., 85, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Ted was born June 14, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Theodore R. Sr. and Flora Dell Yulich. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Charlene Bucklund Yulich, on June 24, 1956 at the First Christian Church of Armourdale. Ted was an EMT and eventually a Captain of the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department. Ted enjoyed learning new hobbies. He learned how to paint, bake, cook, and woodwork. He also enjoyed playing poker online and making friends across the country while doing so. Ted had a warm personality and was easy to love. Most importantly, Ted loved his wife and family.
      He is preceded in death by his parents and sons, Theodore “T-Ray” Yulich III and Michael Leslie Yulich. Ted leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Charlene; three grandchildren, Jessica Clemmons (Jonathan), Jennifer Yulich (Brandon), and Danielle Yulich; great grandchildren Addison and Cooper Levin; daughter in law Carol Yulich; and siblings, Sherry Yulich-Horn, Lois Morris, and Sandy Hangley.
      A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2023 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
