Phoebe J. McQuiston Kirch Peterson Drace, 96, of Park Avenue, Meadville, Pa., and formerly of Corry, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at Wesbury Community.
She was born January 15, 1916, in Moon Run, Pa., a daughter of the late WilliamG. and Winifred Graham McQuiston.
Phoebe was raised and educated in the Union City and Corry areas. She and her husband, Elwin Kirch, honeymooned in Alaska and lived there for a short period of time before returning to the Corry area, where her main priority had been raising and caring for her family.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Corry.Phoebe enjoyed reading and sewing.
In addition to her parents, Phoebe was preceded in death by her first husband,Elwin Kirch; her second husband, Carl Peterson; and her third husband, Harold Drace; four sisters, Hazel DeMauri, Genevieve McQuiston, Florence Fay and Grace McQuiston; four brothers, Charles, Harold, Jack and Bill McQuiston; three half brothers, Arthur, Harry and George McQuiston; and twin grandsons, Jacob and Robert Miller.
Phoebe is survived by two daughters, Mary Kirch Humes and her husband, Dale, of Meadville, Pa., and Jo Kirch Benz and her husband, Eldon, of Carbondale, Ill; a son, John Kirch and his wife, Betty, of Plainville, Conn.; and two half sisters, Anne Price and Josephine Coy, both of Corry, Pa.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 11 a.m.The Rev. Mark Rusnak will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
