- Linda Posten Obituary
Linda M. Posten, 81, of Williamsport, died on Monday, January 22, 2024.
She was born June 17, 1942 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Paul L. and Mary Kathryn (McCormick) Brungard. She married Tom Posten, who passed away in 1989.
Linda was a 1960 graduate of Milton High School. She worked for over 45 years in the loan and credit card departments for several banks, starting out first as a bank teller in Milton. She then worked in western Pennsylvania at the same bank for nearly 30 years in the loan department, then the credit card department as a credit card specialist. She enjoyed the in-person customer service aspect of the jobs.
Linda not only loved to read, but also loved history. She looked forward to completing daily crossword puzzles. Linda enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, wood refinishing, and restoring linens. She maintained items in an antique/flea market booth for years. She also volunteered at women’s shelters in various capacities.
Surviving are one son, Brad Reedy; three daughters, Pamela Kelly, Deidre Wauhop, and Tina Skinner; two brothers, Bill and Richard Brungard; two sisters, Gail Cunningham and Kathy Brungard; three grandchildren, Nicole Reedy, Tiffany Marino, and Aaron Cook; six great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Natalie, Heaven, Leia, Lacey, and Danny.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
