In Memory of Margaret R. McCuiston
August 1, 1931 - January 21, 2016
Margaret Ann Routh McCuiston, a former resident of High Point died January 21, 2016 at the Kate Be Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She was born August 1, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of R.R. and Marguerite Harrison Routh. She was a graduate of the N.C. School for the Deaf in Morganton. Margaret was a former employee at Hickory Mfg. in High Point, was a former member of Green Street Baptist Church.
Margaret was married to Billy Sampson McCuiston who preceded her in death on July 18, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her son, Hal McCuiston and a sister, Louise Sharpe.
She is survived by her sister, Hazel Helms and husband Robert of Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Pastor Kent R. Oviatt. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time

Billy McCuiston
HIGH POINT – Mr. Billy Sampson McCuiston, 78, a resident of High Point died Sunday July 18, 2010, at High Point Regional Hospital. Billy was born September 7, 1931 in Guilford County, a son of June Donald and Mary Satterfield McCuiston. He was a graduate of the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton and retired after 40 years with Alderman Studios. He was a former member at Green St. Baptist Church. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Hal McCuiston; one sister, Delia Holland; and one brother, Budgie McCuiston.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Ann Routh McCuiston of the home; two sisters, Darlene Wiggs of Stokesdale, Mattie Calhoun of Walnut Cove; one brother, Thomas McCuiston of Kernersville; a sister-in-law, Hazel Helms of Pineville; nine nieces and three nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road Greensboro, NC 27407.
