Lafayette - Donald C. McQuisten, 78, of Lafayette, passed away at 11:38 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital.
He was the son of the late Christopher M. McQuisten and Maxine Sarah (Evilsizer) McQuisten, born on December 31, 1939 in Hobart, IN. Donald's marriage of 33 years was to Catherine L. McQuisten on May 8, 1982 at Christ UMC in Lafayette, IN and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2015.
Donald received his GED through Summit Christian Academy. He was a dishwasher and bust boy for many restaurants and hotels for most of his life. Donald attended Evergreen Wesleyan Church.
He enjoyed taking bible courses and putting together picture puzzles. Donald will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents and wife, Donald is preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Jean McQuisten.
Friends may visit from 9-10 AM one hour prior to the Funeral Service starting at 10 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2016 at Simplicity Funeral Care. Pastor Joseph Park will officiate. Barney was born on June 16, 1936 and passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018.
Barney was a resident of Michigan at the time of passing.
Barney attended a one room school in Lowell, MI, graduating from Lowell High School in 1955.In 1959 he served honorably in the Army, Veterinary Corp. in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, then deployed to Korea until his discharge in 1962.
