Lawrence Alfred McQuiston passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the age of 93. Lawrence served during WWII with the U.S. Army/Air Corp. He was a radio operator on a B-17. He served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He had a passion for music, especially when it came to the harmonica. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sharon Morgan McQuiston; children, Jeanette and husband, Rod Ratliff, Bonny Sue and husband, Roger Bullock, Laurene McQuiston, Sherie and husband, Devin Scott; grandchildren, Kimberly Grantham, Minnie Lee Bullock, Chad Eddards, Susan Bullock, Carrie Kaiser, Matthew Eddards, Kathryn Oliver, Joshua Eddards, Baylee Scott, Damon Scott, Ariana Scott, and Camille Scott; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Odgar Wunstel and Samuel McQuiston; nephew, Sanford DeJean and wife, Liz; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Marks McQuiston; son, Marks Lynn McQuiston; his parents, Samuel (Boly) Augustus McQuiston and Erminie Senora Wunstel; sister, Doris Mae McQuiston Griffin; nephew, Gerald DeJean; and numerous half and step siblings. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 8 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Evergreen Memorial Park.
