- Obituary for Tommy Curtis Bullock
Tommy Curtis Bullock, 83, a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and beloved husband, father, grandfather "Papa," brother, uncle, and friend, died peacefully at his home Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Mr. Bullock was born November 8, 1938, in Rockingham County, NC to Curtis Silas Bullock and Bessie Mae Beasley. A graduate of Madison High School, Class of 1956. Tommy was a member of Summerfield Baptist Temple and was also a deacon in the church. He taught Sunday School for many years. He loved serving the Lord and until this past September very rarely missed church. His last wish was to be able to attend one more church service. Tommy was employed at Sears for many years and retired from Gilbarco.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years Joan of the home, daughter Robin Bailey and husband Mark, of Madison. Grandson Alex Baker (Jamie), Step granddaughter Erin Broadway (Scott), Step grandson Benjamin Bailey (Kristina). Great grandchildren Tyler, Abby, Rileigh, and Ava, Step great grandchildren Katie, Rachel, Khloé, Lydia, and Joanna. Sister Lou Zettie Pardue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, Summerfield Baptist Temple, 7904 Winfree Rd, Summerfield, NC 27358 with Pastor Bobby Wilmoth and Mr. Anthony Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 9088 Mt Carmel Rd, Stokesdale, NC 27357.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Summerfield Baptist Temple, and other times at the home.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed, and facial coverings will be required.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Amanda Wilson and Valerie Hairston for the care they have given to Papa over the last two months.
