- Clyde Mitchell McCuiston, age 84, of Kettering, went home to be with Jesus his Savior on December 18, 2021.
He was born September 17, 1937 in Crossville, TN to the late Noel and Zella (Kington) McCuiston. He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School. Clyde was a retired Police Officer serving Dayton PD, Montgomery Co. Environmental Patrol and Dayton Mental Health Center. Earlier in his career he worked for Hoyne Funeral Home and Duriron. Clyde was a longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple, with Pastor Jerry Siler. He enjoyed playing pool, corn-hole and was a checker champion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, and grandson Zachary Barnett.
Clyde is survived by his children, Malcom (Ellen), Michelle Barnett, Melody (Gary) Skaggs; grandchildren, Harmony (Rick) Stidham, Heather (Craig Collins) Barnett, Jake (Mary "Pie" Sailors), Brittany (Jared Jones) Boring; step-grandson, Brandon Lickas; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Stidham, Brianna Stidham, Vincent Spellman, Bryson Bailey, Bristol Bailey; great-great grandchildren, Raelyn, Katelyn and Brooklyn; his brother Don (Deb) McCuiston; nephew Damon McCuiston; niece, Amber (Kevin) Clay and many friends at the Lathrem Center.
Clyde was the best dad ever. He was very kind, and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd.
