Edith McCuistion Ray, 82, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Show Low. She was born October 31, 1933 in St. George, Utah but considered herself a native Arizonan because her parents, Arthur Robert and Vangie Lurie Alldredge McCuistion, lived in Mt. Trumbell, Arizona and that was where they called home.
Edith was a school teacher for 18 years beginning in 1980 and retiring in 1998. In her life God was 1st, Family 2nd, and Country 3rd. She enjoyed tennis, bowling, horseback riding, scouting (which was important to her dad and her), Family History, cake decorating, ceramics, baking (pies, donuts, and Gone with The Wind pudding), cooking, reading (loved books), camping and music. Edith spoke Spanish and loved the Lamanite people. She served a mission for 10 years serving as a worker in the Snowflake Temple. Every year she hosted an Annual Cousins week for all her grandkids where the song “Too-Tee-Tah was a favorite.
Edith is survived by her husband, 2 sons, 3 daughters, 37 grandchildren and 67 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elaine Reynolds and 2 grandchildren, Trevor Smith and Kari Dawn Price.
