      Born in the age of horse and carriage, she lived to see when men walked on the moon.First child of Pleasant Isaac and Sarah Catherine (Campbell) McCuistion in Sanger TX. Tall for her time at 5'6" with crystal blue eyes. Maude, as she liked to be called, met her husband at a spelling bee in Pilot Point. He too was tall, at 6"1". After marrying they homesteaded in Oklahoma.

      Mrs. Lillie Maude Tucker, 93, died in Hollis Convalescent Home Friday, December 18. She had been a resident there since breaking a hip about 8 months ago.
      She was born in Denton County September 4, 1877. Until only a few years ago she had remained active in the community, watching it grow from a pioneer land, seeing the town of Dodson established and knowing the area as a rich agricultural section. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
      Survivors are four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Clara Jones of Wellington, Miss Alice Tucker of Hollis, Mrs. Marjorie Ham of Santa Ana, CA, Mrs. Blanche Carter of Longview, WA, Scott Tucker of Graham, Eugene Tucker of Dodson, and J. W. Tucker of Abilene.
      There are also 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. (submitted by The Dodson Cemetery Association)
