      ROSSVILLE Helen Ruth McCuiston, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, in a local health care facility. She was a native of Acworth, Ga., and has lived in the Chattanooga, North Georgia area for the past 75 years. Mrs. McCuiston was retired from the Chattanooga City School System after more than 20 years of service and was a member of the Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Toney McCuiston.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jeanne McCuiston; granddaughters, Emma and Rose McCuiston, Tyner, Tenn.; brother, Hayden Scott, Rossville; sisters, Catherine Scott Prince, Tyner, Edith Scott Wright, Rossville; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Pinion officiating. Interment in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.Contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr., 22, Chattanooga, TN 37421. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 today at the Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
