  • Notes  Married:
    • Charles writes about his marriage to Geraldine, "After we were married she was not a very close pal, so I don't know but very little about her. I was afflicted with epilepsy and was in the sanitarium at Hot Springs, South Dakota in 1928 when she call(ed) for a divorce. I let her have a divorce with the children left with my father and mother in Fowler, Colorado. I was not expected to live but a short time but the good Lord saved me. He came to me when I was passed out and said, "do not worry the less you worry the less your trouble you will finally be cured." So thank God, I still live with no epilepsy."
