McQuisten, 66 of Monroe, died at 7:48 pm Tuesday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo after a brief illness. Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday. Rev. Lawrence Detruf will officiate. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born September 29, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan, he was the son of Robert and Ceceilia (Pohl) McQuisten. He married Dorothy M. Willette on September 29, 1973. Jack was a hairstylist at Hair’s Everything and a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 38 Detroit/Pontiac Stage Employees Union. He found pleasure in riding his Harley and Country dancing. Surviving are his wife Dorothy, son Mickey A. Roberts of Monroe; daughter Shellie M. (Curtis) DuVall of Irmo, South Carolina; Brother Matthew W. McQuisten of Wisconsin; sister Darlene (Lawrence) Luke of Shingleton, Michigan; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Wesley J. Tallent and Steven C. Tallent. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the family.
