They soon made their way to Crescent, St. Louis County, Missouri. They then made their home in nearby Overland, Missouri for a number of years. William worked as a farmer, and they were the parents of 4 children. He became a naturalized American citizen on 03 Aug 1917. He eventually worked as a caretaker, and they moved to St. Charles County, Missouri. At the time of her death, Elizabeth was 86 years, 2 months and 14 days old. She was survived by 1 son, John McQuiston; 2 daughters, Grace Genthon and Nel Whitehead; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and extended family members. In addition to her mother and father, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, William. Funeral services were conducted on 01 Oct 1973 in St. Charles, Missouri.
