Larry Gleghorn, age 77, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born July 31, 1944, to the late Leland and Sibyl Gleghorn. Larry is also preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Gleghorn Adair.

Larry is survived by his wife, Cynthia Gleghorn; sister, Sherry Fix and husband Timothy of Hot Springs; children: Bryson Hartsell, Calista Sinclair, and Lee Gleghorn; grandchildren: Danielle, Katlyn, Mark, Stormie, Jacob, and Ashton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was a devoted law enforcement officer having worked in various divisions of the Arkansas State Police including Governors Security, Narcotics, and criminal investigations. Larry concluded his law enforcement career as Caption of Troop K in Hot Springs. Larry’s love and devotion to law enforcement and his fellow officers never waned.

When not on the job, Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman. Larry was a hunting guide for many years and mentored many in the sport.

Larry’s wife and family would like to thank the many friends who maintained contact with him and provided love and friendship throughout his life to the very end. Know that the prayers and contacts provided enormous peace and comfort to he and his family.

Memorial service will be 1:00PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Sibyl Gleghorn, 96, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2018. She was born September 22, 1921 in Violet Hill, AR to Buell and Mildred Billingsley.

Sibyl is predeceased by her parents, husband, Leland Gleghorn, granddaughter, Ginger Gleghorn Adair and sister, Betty Sue Walberg.

Loving survivors include son, retired Arkansas State Police Captain Larry Gleghorn, of Hot Springs; daughter, Sherry Fix and her husband, Timothy, of Hot Springs and daughter, Alisha Fix; grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Tallent, Justin Morgan and Lee Gleghorn; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mark, Danielle, Ashton, Ryan, Seth and Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arkadelphia.

The family would like to thank Quapaw Health and Rehabilitation for the 10 years of wonderful care they gave Sibyl.
