  1. 14.  George Graham McCuistion was born on 7 Jul 1897 in Iantha, Barton County, Missouri (son of Charles Henry McCuistion and Jeanette Belle Bloom); died on 17 May 1966 in Near Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas; was buried on 19 May 1966 in Altoona, Wilson County, Kansas.

    Notes:

    George Graham McCuistion was active in Boy Scouting for over twenty-five years, he organized Boy Scouting in Altoona and was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest award offered for scouting leadership.
    He was treasurer of the Methodist church, past president of the Altoona Lions Club, a Mason, member of the Wilson County Centennial Committee, and a member of the American Legion as a veteran of World War I.

    Birth:
    The 1900 census indicates the date of birth as July 1896.

    Died:
    George was driving a 1957 Ford, and had pulled off the highway into the entrance of the old K047 Highway, preparing to turn around. He backed into a ditch and was driving out when the car angled back off the fill and hit a concrete spillway. George McCuistion was thrown out of the car.

    George married Floy Gladys Low on 20 May 1921 in Fowler, Otero County, Colorado, and was divorced on 24 May 1939 in Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa. Floy (daughter of Francis Perry Lowe and Elizabeth Susan Leek) was born on 5 Mar 1901 in Moran, Allen County, Kansas; died on 5 Jan 1986 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, California; was buried in Fowler, Otero County, Colorado.   2. 15.  Floy Gladys Low was born on 5 Mar 1901 in Moran, Allen County, Kansas (daughter of Francis Perry Lowe and Elizabeth Susan Leek); died on 5 Jan 1986 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County, California; was buried in Fowler, Otero County, Colorado.

    Died in residence of her daughter, Betty Ann McCuistion Darling. Cause of death was: 1. Congestive Heart Failure - 3 years
    2. Old Myocardial Infarction - 4 years
    3. Coronary Artery Disease - 4 years

    Also had Renal Failure, but was not related to cause of death. Buried in Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Colorado

    Married:
    According to her sister Francie, "Floy was courted by one of the H. S. teachers (I can't remember his name but I really liked him because he took me with them several times in his car and he always pointed out the horses along the way, calling them cows -- which I, at 3 years of age, thought was very funny) but George McCuistion, who had been her typing teacher, won her and they were married the day after she graduated. Now that I'm thinking of it, I wonder why she was sought after by the teachers!"

    Divorced:
    George Graham was an alcoholic, and although Floy still cared about him; she could not continue with his problem.
