610. David Hoyle "Doc" McCuistion428 was born on 29 September 1844 in Rhea County, Tennessee.428,966 The original genealogy lists the date of birth as 27 September 1844. He appeared in the census in the household of Andrew J. McCuistion and Hannah S. Clapp Foust on 12 September 1850 in Rhea County, Tennessee.429 He appeared in the census on 19 June 1870 in Bentonville, Osage Township, Benton County, Arkansas.967 The name is spelled McChristian, and living with David and his wife, Samantha is a Fannie Moore. They had a berry farm in Hood River. He was a Farmer in Washington.969 David and his wife had a berry farm in Hood River, Oregon. Name moved place date.968 In the early 1900's, David and Samantha moved to Trout Lake, Washington. They secured land northwest of the lake. From the sale of their land in Hood River they each kept a share of the money, and after David had a stroke in 1919, he was unable to speak, but the family recalls how he "kept pointing." They assumed that he was trying to tell them where his part of that money was hidden, but it was never found. He died on 24 February 1920 at the age of 75 in Trout Lake, Klickitat County, Washington.430 David died as the result of Cerebral Hemorrhage. Doc has reference number RM 7314. LBM 21-396

David Hoyle "Doc" McCuistion and Samantha Asperine Richardson were married on 19 September 1869 in Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas.430 Samantha Asperine Richardson, daughter of Richardson and Smith, was born on 19 December 1850 in Lawrence County, Missouri.430,970,971 She appeared in the census on 19 June 1870 in Bentonville, Osage Township, Benton County, Arkansas.967 She died on 8 January 1939 at the age of 88 in White Salmon, Klicktat County, Washington.430,970,972 Samantha died from Coronary Thrombosi, in the home of her granddaughter, Grace Kinght. Samantha was buried on 11 January 1939 in Trout Lake Cemetery, Trout Lake, Klickitat County, Washington.973 She was a Housewife in Trout Lake, Klickitat County, Washington.970
