Tittle, Carrie lived another two or three years in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She held on as long as she could, but eventually had to return to the home of her parents in Gilliland, Texas. Her daughter, Elsie, remained in Shawnee, Oklahoma with her husband. Earle and Byron returned with Carrie. After two years, Earle went to live with an uncle, Reverend W. L. Tittle, a Methodist minister. Carrie McCuistion and her second husband, Mr. Reeves, lived in Big Springs, Texas in 1928.

Carrie R. McCuistion and Emerson Washington Tittle were married on 26 February 1896 in Roane, Navarro County, Texas.1461 Emerson Washington Tittle was born in 1868. He died on 10 August 1921 at the age of 53 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
