William Alexander McQuiston Jr. was born on 14 August 1927 in Berryton, Shawnee County, Kansas. In 1950 he was an inspector at the Beech Aircraft Corporation.2241 He died on 20 February 1952 at the age of 24 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.2242 William was found dead of gunshot wounds on outskirts of Wichita near his automobile. Two .22 calibur rifle bullets had penetrated the heart, according to the Kansas state coroner, Sam Smith; they entered the chest through a single hole and left two separate holes through the back. The coroner felt, he died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds incurred when he removed his rifle from his car. His brother stated that, "he often carried his gun in the car with the safety off" and used it often to stop and take shots at rabbits. William was buried in Lynn Creek Cemetery, Berryton, Shawnee County, Kansas.182
