Name moved place date.97 Benjamin and his brother, John came to Tennessee to "take possession of part of 2,626 acres of land which was a grant from the State of North Carolina in 1788 to the eldest brother, James (1758-1826). He died on 4 November 1842 at the age of 70 in Bedford County, Tennessee.48 Benjamin was buried in McCuistion Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.48 The McCuistion Cemetery is located on land once part of the McCuistion Plantation. He has reference number (93-365). Benjamin's mother, Ann Moody McCuistion, gave him the plantation at Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.

Daggett's letter to George Kenneth McCuistion, headstone reads "Ann M. McCuistion, Daughter of Benjamin and Sarah McCuistion; born Nov. 5, 1811 and departed this life Jan. 28, 1813," She was buried in McCuistion Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.48 Ann has reference number (93iii-365).
