She has reference number RM 11804. In the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Books posted online in the Ancestry database; Ruth's last name is spelled McQuistian vice McCuistion.
Ruth McCuistion and Robert Thompson were married on 14 November 1777 in Guilford County, North Carolina.84,85 Robert Thompson was born on 15 March 1757 in Guilford County, North Carolina.81,84,86 He served in the military Revolutionary War.81 Robert served in the Revolutionary War as a private in the North Carolina Line. He was at the battle of Guilford Court House, which was fought near his home. He signed a will on 29 July 1838 in Guilford County, North Carolina.83 In the name of God Amen. I Robert Thompson of the county of Guilford and State of North Carolina being of a perfect and sound mind and memory blessed be God do this twenty ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty eight make and pulish this my last will and Testament in manner following That is to say first. It is my will that all the lands that I own and have a right too Both in this County and also in middle Tennessee in Murray county on Duck river right in the bend that they be sold at Publick sale on a credit of Ten months and also my stills, and tubs to be sold with my land and. all my hogs and Cattle and Sheep and all my farming tools of every description and all of my housefold and kitchen furniture to be sold also my corn and oats and rite to be sold on the same credit that is above named and if there is any property that is not named or willed away I allow it to be sold and to fall in with the rest as above named and out of the sales above named property it is my will.
First. I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Levina Caffey Eight hundred dollars to her side also one old mare and colt named Bond.
2nd I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Letty Leventon the sum of eight hundred dollars.
3rd I do give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Zilpha Caffey fifty dollars.
4th I do will all my bacon to my daughter Levina Caffey for her boarding of Jackson Lethco and I allow him to have the cloth that is in the loom that was intended for him to make him some clothes until they get the crop housed.
5th I do give Henry Caffy what wheat I have likewise all the rents of the corn and fodder that he was to give me I do give that up to him.
6th I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebbecea Gullet the sum of twenty five dollars.
7th I do give and bequeath unto my three grand children William Mcquiston, Moses McQuiston and Eliza McKimmey twenty five dollars each.
8th I do give and bequeath unto my son Robert Thompson the sum of one dollar.
9th I do give and bequeath unto my son Samuel Thompson my young mare and colt and also one horse by his paying of Robert Gilchrist Twenty dollars also his bed and furniture and also one piece of corn he now claimed in the meadow down by the widow Chilcutts and also fifty dozen of oats and also Two hundred dollars.
10th I do give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Thompson the sum of fifty dollars.
11th I do give and allow Harry and Robert Parker half of the corn and half of the fodder that is raised on the Russell place and after all my just debts are paid and the expenses of my estate is settled if anything of my estate should be left it is my will that it be equally divided among the Legatees I hereby make an ordain my son Thomas Thompson executor of this my last will and testament and in witnefs where of I the said Robert Thompson have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this will and testament.
